Today’s recipe is a Simple Egg Wrap!
Just mash up a boiled egg with mayo and mustard, wrap it in a tortilla, and toast it lightly—it’s that easy.
Ingredients
Tortilla | 1 |
Egg | 1 |
Whole grain mustard | 1 tsp |
Mayonnaise | 1 tbsp |
Black pepper | 2 dashes |
Lettuce leaf (optional) | 1 |
How to Make
1⃣ Boil the egg
Bring a pot of water to a boil. Gently place the egg in and boil over medium heat for 10 minutes.

2⃣ Prepare the filling
Peel the boiled egg and mash it with a fork. Mix with mayonnaise, mustard, and black pepper. Place the mixture in the center of the tortilla. Add lettuce if desired.

3⃣ Wrap and cook
Fold the tortilla from both sides to make a wrap. Toast in a frying pan over medium heat for about 1 minute on each side.

When I was living in Australia, I was surprised to see how common it was for people to eat tortilla wraps instead of bread or rice.
You can buy a pack of 10 tortillas for around 400 yen at most supermarkets in Japan, so it’s not too expensive either.
Eggs, meat, smoked salmon—tortillas go well with just about anything, making them perfect for a quick breakfast or easy lunch!
