Whenever I visit an Italian restaurant for the first time, I always order a classic Margherita pizza. If the Margherita is good, I feel confident that everything else on the menu will be delicious too.
Ingredients
Diced tomatoes | 388g |
Garlic | 1 clove |
Olive oil | 1 tsp |
Salt | 5 shakes |
Dried oregano | 5 shakes |
Pizza cheese | as much as you like |
Fresh basil leaves | 6~8 leaves |
How to Make
1⃣ Grate the garlic. Wash the basil and gently pat it dry with a paper towel.

2⃣ In a bowl, mix the canned tomatoes, garlic, salt, oregano, and olive oil. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed by adding more salt or oregano.

3⃣ Spread the tomato sauce on your pizza dough, then top with cheese and basil. Bake until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
After baking, top with a few more fresh basil leaves for extra flavor.

If you have time, feel free to make your own dough using the below.
Otherwise, store-bought pizza dough works just fine too!
