Just slice and arrange!
This is a simple, foolproof recipe that looks elegant and tastes fresh.
I often make Caprese salad when I feel like eating something light and refreshing. It’s so easy, but my husband always says, “Wow, dinner looks so fancy tonight!” — and that always makes me smile.
Ingredients
Tomato | 1 |
Mozzarella cheese (I used Meiji brand) | 1 package (100g / 3.5 oz) |
Fresh basil leaves | 5 leaves |
Olive oil(I used BOSCO) | 1 tsp |
Salt | about 3 sprinkles |
Feel free to use any brand you like!
How to Make
1⃣ Slice the chilled tomato and mozzarella cheese thinly. Tear the basil leaves into small pieces.

2⃣ If the tomato or cheese has excess moisture, gently pat them dry with a paper towel. Arrange them alternately on a plate (tomato → mozzarella), then sprinkle with salt and drizzle with olive oil. Top with basil, and it’s ready to serve!

Caprese salad is often served as an appetizer in Italy. Its clean, stylish presentation brings a touch of Italian charm to your table. It also pairs wonderfully with pasta, pizza, or risotto dishes.
