Tzatziki sauce is a garlicky, magical sauce that goes well with meat, vegetables, bread—basically anything!
When I visited Greece in 2023, I found a fast-food place near my apartment selling “Gyro,” which is similar to kebab. The day I arrived by plane, I was exhausted and starving. There was no English menu, so I had no idea what they had. I just said, “One gyro, please!” and they made it right in front of me. The tzatziki sauce inside had a delicious garlicky taste that complemented the juicy meat perfectly. The next day, I went to a supermarket and bought some tzatziki sauce.

Cucumber | 1/2 |
Yogurt (Meiji) | 200g / 7 oz |

Red onion | a little(about 1/4, finely chopped) |
Olive oil | 1/2 tsp |
How to Make

Athens, Greece, is known for its ancient buildings like the Acropolis, which I read is a must-visit for history lovers. But for me, Athens was the ultimate destination for delicious and affordable food!
During my stay, I found amazing places like Mailo’s, a fast-food spot serving delicious pasta (their Carbonara is a must-try!), and shops where they grill meat right in front of you. Everything was both cheap and incredibly tasty.
The apartment I stayed in had a fantastic kitchen with high-end utensils and a beautiful balcony for reasonable price. It was so nice that I thought, “I could live here…”.
I can’t wait to visit Athens again!
