Shrimp sautéed in butter and paired with creamy aioli sauce is absolutely delicious!
It’s simple to make and perfect for lunch.
Aioli is a traditional dish from Catalonia, Spain.
It’s often described as “garlic mayonnaise.” (Reference: Wikipedia)
I enjoyed aioli when I had it at a Spanish restaurant in Japan, served alongside paella.
The garlicky mayo flavor goes perfectly with seafood and vegetables!

I actually discovered aioli when I was living in Australia.
My French roommate made a sauce one day and asked, “Want to dip your shrimp in this?”
It was so good, but I never caught the name of the sauce. For years I wondered what it was.
Just mixing mayo and garlic never tasted quite right…
Then one day at a Spanish restaurant, I realized—this is aioli!
When I recreated it at home, I was thrilled to finally get it right.
