〇Cumin powder | 7 shakes |
〇Salt | 5 shakes |
〇Black pepper | 5 shakes |

How to Make
1⃣ Prep the ingredients
Finely chop the tomato, lettuce, onion, and garlic.
Boil water in a pot to prepare for making soft-boiled eggs.

2⃣ Make soft-boiled eggs
Once the water comes to a boil, turn off the heat. Gently place the eggs into the water using a ladle so they don’t crack.
Place the pot on a damp towel and let it sit for 8–9 minutes.
(Tip: 9 minutes in colder rooms, 8 minutes if it’s warm)

3⃣ Cook the beef mixture
While waiting for the eggs, heat olive oil in a frying pan.
Sauté the garlic and onion over medium heat until the onion becomes translucent.
Add the ground beef and all the seasonings (soy sauce, cumin, salt, pepper, chili powder).
Continue cooking until the beef is fully browned.

4⃣ Assemble the bowl
Place the rice in bowls and top with shredded lettuce, the cooked beef mixture, chopped tomato, and soft-boiled egg.
Crumble tortilla chips over the top for that perfect crunch!

Add some shredded cheese on top and lightly torch it until melted and golden—super tasty!

Pro tip: The soft-boiled egg on top makes it extra delicious when it melts into the warm ingredients.

Taco Rice (or Tako Raisu) is a dish from Okinawa, Japan.
It’s a local twist on Mexican tacos—taco-seasoned meat served over white rice instead of in a tortilla.
You’ll often find it at restaurants in Okinawa, and it’s loved for its hearty flavor and easy prep!
